Paoletti,
late 18th/early 19th century, four bound volumes of plaster intaglios,
together with two wooden cased sets of plaster intaglios by Thomas Cades, Graveur, complete with handwritten index,
a tray of red plaster intaglios etc. (qty.)

In John Murray's 'Handbook for Travellers in Central Italy: Including the Papal States and Cities of Etruria' in 1843, which was used by many British tourists on their 'Grand Tour', it lists Thomas Cades as being at 456 in the Corso and Bartolomeo Paoletti, under traders of 'Gems, Etruscan Intagli, Pastas (sic) and Sulphur Casts'.
